Meet Cynda

Cynda Brock grew up on an Arkansas horse farm which gave her the unique opportunity to begin her riding career at just 2 years old. By the age of 10, Cynda was successfully competing on the national American Quarter Horse Circuit. Her junior career was extensive, including several high-point and year-end awards. Cynda competed at the Palomino Youth and Open World Championships between the years of 1991 and 1995, taking home 10 Champion and Reserve Champion titles, concluding her junior career with the overall World Champion Golden Horse All-Around title on her mount “Sugar Rey.”

Cynda took a break from horses in college to pursue a basketball scholarship at Oklahoma State University. Cynda’s lifelong passion for the equestrian discipline solidified her decision to start her own company instead of taking a job in the medical field. Cynda founded Champions Equestrian in 2001.

Cynda has students competing on Colorado show circuits and has coached alongside world-class horsemen. She is an all-around horsewoman with vast experience across multiple disciplines, including training young horses, natural horsemanship, dressage, jumping, reining, trail, and more. Cynda is certified in Crystalline Consciousness Technique (CCT) for healing and transformation. She has trained and coached athletes at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Cynda strives to be a role model for students and runs the Champions program with the utmost ethical standards and integrity for the horse, students, and their families.

Cynda Brock

Dear Students, Clients, Friends, and Family –

It’s about more than the ribbons. Don’t get me wrong, no one loves winning more than me! If I gave you my parent’s phone number, they would tell you terrible stories of what a perfectionist I was at any cost as a junior rider. I know that has helped me be who I am as a coach, but it is easy (and I hear it come out of all my students mouths) to put on our blinders and focus only on ourselves without due regard for those around us.

Back then, many years ago, world titles, trophies, neck ribbons, magazine articles, and saddles were exciting to win. Guess where my world title trophies are now?…in a box in the garage. If a client hadn’t asked to put some of my ribbons in a special shadow box in my office, they would be in the garage as well. I love horses and I receive so much joy from sharing them with others, coaching and seeing riders achieve more than just ribbons and titles. My students usually ask me if I am ever disappointed in them as riders, especially at shows when results are given out. I usually say the only disappointment would be a negative attitude and disrespect to your family, coach, teammates and your horse.

As your coach, I want to see smiles even when it is hard, joy even when there is disappointment, sportsmanship whether you win or lose, and love for your horse no matter what happens in the ring. I want to see young men and women of character bringing your best in all areas as an equestrian and in life. I can’t think of any other place I would rather be than riding and coaching under the Colorado sun on another blessed day with the Champions Equestrian team!

For the love of the horse,

Cynda
